Roscommon's sensational All-Ireland U21HC 'B' final victory over Kildare compares with anything Seamus Qualter has achieved as a manager.
The Rossies defied odds of 6/1 to register a 3-17 to 3-16 victory at Semple Stadium. And for Turloughmore native Qualter, it was just as satisfying as the Christy Ring Cup successes he had with Westmeath in 2005 and 2007.
"This is up there," he smiled. "The first Christy Ring with Westmeath was up there, beating Dublin in Leinster in 2006 is up there, but for a bunch of players from Roscommon…"We weren't coming here to make up the numbers. I know where you get to finals, you have to win them."
His Kildare counterpart Noel McMahon said: "We gave them three soft enough goals. And the last three frees they got were gifts."
