Turloughmore 1-18 Kilnadeema-Leitrim 2-15
Turloughmore scored the last four points of this game at Ballinasloe on Friday evening thus securing a draw with Kilnadeema-Leitrim for whom Brian Molloy impressed.
Turloughmore got off to a blistering start with Michael Morris goaling in the opening minute while Sean Linnane pointed soon after. However Kilnadeema-Leitrim forced their way back into the game with Brian and Tony Molloy to the fore. Brian Molloy scored 0-3 in the opening half with Tony Molloy hitting 1-2 as Turloughmore lead by 1-9 to 1-8 at half time.
Conor Shaughnessy, Richard Doyle, Cillian Hurney, Ultan Hurney, Sean Linnane and Michael Morris accounted for Turloughmore’s first half points and aside from the Molloy’s Kilnadeema-Leitrim had opening half scorers in Conor Cunningham, Jacques Chahin and Cillian Dowling.
A Brian Molloy goal five minutes into the second half saw Kilnadeema-Leitrim into a 2-9 to 1-9 lead but scores from Conor Shaughnessy (2) and Richard Doyle levelled the sides ten minutes into the second half.
Brian Molloy and Richard Doyle traded points before scores through Jacques Chahin, Liam Kelly and Conor Cunningham gave Kilnadeema-Leitrim a 2-15 to 1-14 lead.
Turloughmore, though, finished strongly. Richard Doyle pointed two frees, Conor Shaughnessy scored from play and in injury time Sean Linnane shot a superb equaliser to send the game to a replay.
