Turloughmore players involved in Galway’s Walsh Cup win

Galway 1-30 DIT 0-12

Galway opened their Walsh Cup campaign with a comprehensive win over DIT in Ballinasloe on Sunday. Galway led by 0-18 to 0-8 at the break and an experimental line-up drove on to victory in the second half.

Turloughmore were well represented in the Maroon and White. Ronan Burke started at full back with Matthew Keating at wing back. In the second half Jamie Holland and Sean Loftus came on to make their debuts for Galway. Francis Forde is starting his second year as Coach in the Micheal Donoghue led management Team.

Galway play NUIG on Thursday night next in Round 2 of the Walsh Cup at 7.30pm.
