CATS Blitz a Huge Success 26-09-2016

Annual CATS Underage Hurling Blitz a Huge Success

The Annual CATS under age hurling Blitz was hosted by the Turloughmore Juvenile Hurling Club on Sunday in Loughgeorge and it was a fantastic success.

Teams from the hosts Turloughmore, Abbeyknockmoy and Sylane took part in U-6, U-8 and U-10 conditioned games. The festival of underage hurling got underway at 10am and due to the excellent facilities in Loughgeorge all games in the three age groups were able to take place simultaneously.

There was great support from parents and club members who came along to see the fine underage talent and stars of the future in action.

Turloughmore U-21 Captain Vincent Doyle, his teammates Sean Linnane and Mark Fahy and their management Joe Hession and Peter Fahy brought the U-21A ‘Frank Fahy Cup’ down to show the underage players who got in plenty of practice lifting and celebrating with the cup.

Finally all participants were presented with medals to mark their fine performances throughout the CATS tournament.

Keep an eye on the club website for photos, courtesy of Kevin Conneely, which will be up soon.

A big thanks to the juvenile committee and all their helpers whose hard work made it such a successful event!
