Turloughmore Senior Hurlers were comprehensively defeated by Mullagh in the replayed league quarter final played in Mullagh yesterday evening on a scoreline of 3-19 to 0-10.

Despite missing a large number of regulars, the performance from Turloughmore  was just not good enough on the night particularly in the first half where Mullagh went in 3-10 to 0-5 leaders at the break.

Some signs of a  moral fightback were evident after the break where a number of good points were scored by Turlough however the squad will be seriously disappointed with the lack of overall workrate and appetite.

A much improved approach will be required by Turloughmore in their upcoming relegation game against Ardrahan to retain their Senior A status.

Whilst Mullagh had a number of strong performers, James Collins, Danny Burke, Cillian Hurney, Richard Doyle, David McDonagh and Ronan Badger tried hardest for the men in black and white.

Team: P Dullaghan, J Collins, D Joyce, M Murphy, Danny Burke, D O' Shaughnessy, G Linnane, S Burke, C Hurney, R Doyle, D Holland, B McDonagh, B Murphy, R Badger, D McDonagh. Sub: C Burke for B McDonagh.
