Co Board Statement: Sarsfields defeat Beagh by 2 points in Turloughmore’s Group

Arising from queries in relation to the score in the Galway SHC game between Sarsfields and Beagh played on Friday evening last 22nd June 2012 in Loughrea, the Galway Hurling Board Chairman has confirmed that the official, and correct, result is; Sarsfields 1-10 : Beagh 1-8.

The initial result posted on the Galway GAA website on Friday evening of Sarsfields 1-9 : Beagh 1-8 was incorrect!

As scoring difference might prove to be crucial in determining which teams in this SHC group qualify for the Galway SHC Quarter-Final, it is important that this clarification is made in relation to the score in this game.
