U-13s defeat Castlegar 26-06-2012
Turloughmore 4-7 Castlegar 3-5

A much improved performance from the Turloughmore U13 team saw them defeat Castlegar in Castlegar on Monday evening. Turloughmore led by 1-5 to 0-3 at half time after playing with the breeze. With James Burke & Tiernan Collins leading the way from the central defensive positions, Turloughmore led by 1-2 to 0-1 on 9 minutes, with the goal coming from Oisin Fahy after fine work by Robert Dunleavy and Daniel Loftus.

Conor Walsh with two, the first after a fine Diarmuid Mullen clearance, Oisin Fahy, Shane Burke and Barry Callanan shot the points to leave the visitors 5 to the good at the interval. Turloughmore got a great start to the second half when Sean Lyons and Barry Callanan set up Shane Burke for a goal, and when Conor Walsh pointed, Turloughmore led by 2-6 to 0-3.

Castlegar began to exert some pressure, but two goals from Barry Callanan, both set up by Robert Dunleavy and Oisin Fahy left Turloughmore 4-6 to 2-4 up with eight minutes left, and ultimately despite conceding a third Castlegar goal with the last puck of the game, Turloughmore recorded a 4-7 to 3-5 win.

Turloughmore next play Craughwell, this Thursday evening (June 28th), in Lackagh.
