Lackagh created their own piece of history when they captured the Cumann na-mBunscol, Roinn C, Boys Football title for the first time when they defeated Monivea at Loughgeorge last week.
Lackagh defeated the Monivea National School on a final scoreline of 5-11 to 4-11 and it took a last minute goal to secure victory for the Lackagh side.
In a tight affair Lackagh had edged proceedings in the opening half and led by 3-6 to 2-4 at half time.
Although Monivea fought back in the second half, they ended in heartbreak as the jubilation was with Scoil Bride of Lackagh when a late goal secured victory at the end.
