U14s reach Shield Final 26-05-2016

Turloughmore 3-12 Sarsfields 1-6

Turloughmore U14s qualified for the U14 A Shield Final after overcoming Sarsfields in the Shield Semi Final in Lackagh on Monday. Sarsfields started well and led by 0-3 to 0-0 before Turloughmore settled and they built a lead of 1-6 to 0-3 on 12 minutes. They increased that lead to 3-8 to 1-4 at the interval, with Cian Shaughnessy getting a hat trick of goals and Eanna Kelly, Sean O Hanlon and Seanie Connolly getting some well taken points.

The second half saw the home side maintain their grip and they finished with the final three points of the game from Sean O Hanlon, Dan Conneely and Evan Kelly to secure a 3-12 to 1-6 win.

Turloughmore will now meet Gort in the Shield Final, after they overcame Clarinbridge by 2-11 to 1-6.
