Success for Turloughmore lads in Schools Final

Presentation College Athenry overcame Gort Community School by 2-17 to 1-16 in the NUI Galway Connacht Post-Primary Schools Senior A Hurling Final on Saturday in Pearse Stadium.

In a closely contested game, Gort led by 5 points at one stage in the opening half, before a strong finish to the opening half, helped by a Sean Loftus goal, left the reigning champions ahead by 2-10 to 1-8 at the interval.
