Francis Forde new Galway Coach

With Micheal Donoghue settling in as new Galway Senior Manager, his backroom team has been completed. 

Turloughmore’s Francis Forde will coach the side and it his second term as a coach at inter county level. Francis was Coach under Joe Dooley in Offaly for a season, while last year he brought Offaly club St Rynaghs to the Offaly County Final. Now teaching in St Raphael’s College in Loughrea, Francis will face his first competitive match with Galway on Feb 14 when they meet Cork in Pearse Stadium in the National hurling League. Noel Larkin of Meelick Eyrecourt completes the backroom team. Micheal Donoghue managed Turloughmore for two seasons during which the club reached the Semi final in 2012 and the Quarter Final in 2013.

There are 5 Turloughmore players on the Galway panel – Ronan Burke, Fergal Moore, Kevin Hussey, Matthew Keating and Daithi Burke. All bar Matthew (who was injured) saw action in the recent Walsh Cup.
