History
Turloughmore Camogie club is a progressive
sporting organisation which aims to promote the active participation of women
in sport. Our Club was founded in 1986 and since then has continued to grow and
develop here in County Galway. We are rapidly growing in an
area with a long and proud sporting tradition. Currently we have teams
from Under 6 to Intermediate level taking part in many competitions from Go
Games to County League and Championships.
We are dedicated to providing a safe,
inclusive and fun environment for members and supporters of all ages to enjoy
the game of Camogie. Our underage training sessions are dedicated to
fostering an energetic and inclusive atmosphere where young girls can learn the
skills of Camogie in a safe and fun environment. We are committed to continuing
our ethos of fun and inclusiveness in our older age group training sessions.
While development of skills and
competitiveness are important to the improvement in performance of our more
senior teams, we place equal emphasis on team participation in an enjoyable and
fun atmosphere.
As a locally based voluntary organisation we
are committed to promoting a strong community spirit. As such, we welcome
anyone who would like to get involved in any capacity; playing, coaching or
just giving a helping hand within the club.
